King & Queen of the Park

Dozer, a Bulldog owned by Brad Berman of Merritt Island was chosen “King” of the Park and his “Queen” was Jewel, a Chihuahua owned by Suzanne Leichtling of Cape Canaveral at the Central Brevard Humane Society’s 11th Annual Paws in the Park on Saturday, October 26th, at the Wickham Park Main Pavilion in Melbourne. Several hundred people attended the event.

Photo - 2013 King & Queen of the ParkOther awards presented were “Pet/Companion Look-a-Like” awarded to Tiki, a Yorkshire Terrier mix owned by Debbie Price of Melbourne; “Best Pet Trick” went to Ahanu, a Papillon owned by Michelle Stapf of Cocoa; and Echo, a Australian Shepherd owned by Rachel Dyal of Cocoa was the winner of the “Halloween Spookacular” Costume Contest.

This fun interactive pet fundraiser included a “pooch” parade dog walk around the pavilion area, educational & rescue group booths, animal-related vendors and pet contests.
