Building A Relationship With Your Pet
You have arrived home with your new pet, yes it can be very stressful for everyone. Here is some advice that may help you all. Do not expect too much too soon, this is a big transition time for you all. Keep it simple, do not overwhelm your pet, do not 'test him' to see how smart he is. Keep your training commands simple, one word is best. When ever you use your pets name it must be a pleasant experience for him.

Do not -use his name to scold him. Every time he comes to you, praise and let him think it is the most wonderful in the world to come to you. Animals live for the minute, for now, they know no past or future. Scolding your dog when he comes to - no matter what he has done - will make him think twice before he comes next time!! Little things like this will build a trusting loving relationship. If you have a dog an Obedience Training Class will be the best investment for your future together.
