"National Homeless Animals"
Adopt-a-Thon
The Central Brevard Humane Society will be hosting their "National Homeless Animals" Adopt-a-thon, in conjunction with Aloha Pet & Bird Hospital, the North & South Animal Care Centers and SPCA of North Brevard on Saturday, August 21st and Sunday, August 22nd, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (both days) at the Humane Society, located in Cocoa. The event will include special pricing on all types of adoptable pets and FREE microchipping for each pet adopted during the 2-day event.

2nd Annual Bark in the Park
The Humane Society will be partnering with Space Coast Stadium on Friday, August 20th to host the 2nd Annual Bark in the Park event. It will be held at the Stadium, located at 5800 Stadium Parkway in Viera. Gates open at 6 p.m. (for more information)
9th Annual Paws at the Pier
One of the Central Brevard Humane Society's biggest fundraisers of the year is the 9th Annual Paws at the Pier event to be held on Saturday, September 18th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cocoa Beach Pier.
This event is everyone's favorite interactive pet fundraiser that includes the whole family and the "furry" friends. Some this year's activities will include live entertainment, pet contests (best dressed, best pet rick, pet/owner look-a-like), door prizes, silent auction and a vendor village (for more information)
CBHS's Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic - OPEN SATURDAYS
Our new state-of the art "low cost" spay/neuter &wellness clinic is now open to the public. This facility is located directly behind the shelter at 1020 Cox Road in Cocoa.The hours of operation:
l Wednesday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (wellness)
l Thursday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (spays/neuters)
l Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (wellness)

We
greatly depend on the residents of our community for their support by
helping the animals through donations of supplies and funds. Generous
individuals have donated such items to our organization from storage sheds
to bags of pet food. We are very grateful for any donated items we receive
for the animals.

Donations for Ella's
Walk
Ella’s
Walk will be a beautiful and private walking area for any individual and
their pet to come and enjoy a calming and tranquil place while being
surrounded by the natural beauty of Florida. The pathway will include an
archway at the entrance, benches, large potted plants, paving stones and pet
waste receptacle stations. There will be opportunities for individuals to
personalize any of the items in Ella’s Walk - ‘In Memory’ of their own pet
or loved one.

"In Memory" Opportunities For Ella's Walk
There will be opportunities for anyone that would like to personalize (‘In
Memory’ of their own pet or loved one) with a plaque any of the items listed
below that will line the pathway:
- Bench - $500
- Pet Waste Receptacle Station - $400
- Personalized 12” Round Stepping Stone - $500
- Tree - $300
We will also be
accepting gifts in any amount for the maintenance and upkeep of Ella’s
Walk – no amount is too small.
We
Need Volunteers!
An hour, a day, any amount of time you can donate is greatly appreciated.
Volunteers are needed to work with the animals, in the Thrift Shops or even

Purina's Pets for
Seniors Program
The
Purina's Pets for Seniors Program helps to cover the cost of adoption
fees and provides product information‚ coupons‚ and a pet care booklet. Why?
Studies have shown that pet companionship may actually help improve senior
citizen health and outlook on life.
Our Cremation/Euthanasia Services
The Central Brevard Humane Society offers
cremation and euthanasia services to the community. With a trained staff
of dedicated and compassionate professionals, we will assist you in
providing your animal companion a dignified passing and also remembering
your pet.
Remembering Your Beloved Pet
Our
Rainbow Bridge Community Chapel is a peaceful, private place for you to
remember your beloved animal companions. Leave a permanent memorial or show
your support for the homeless animals of Brevard with a
personalized brick paver or stepping stone.

Paws &
Stripes Program
This is a unique partnership between the Brevard County
Sheriff's Office, Brevard County Animal Services and Enforcement, the
Central Brevard Humane Society and the SPCA of North Brevard. The program
matches up carefully selected and trained jail inmates with dogs that have
been deemed “unadoptable”.

effort is
an established collection and processing program for the recycling of laser
and ink jet printers and fax cartridges, which helps provide shelter and
care for lost, unwanted and abused animals in our community.
